Community Life

6:08 Meals

Do you enjoy deepening relationships through conversation over a meal? On the first and third Wednesdays of each month we gather at 6:08PM to share an informal and intimate meal. There will be enough prepared food available for several persons and participants are invited to bring a dish to share if they are able. The kitchen is open for your use. All are welcome!

Central Wayne Arts Gathering

CWAG celebrates the human experience through the Arts. With a different featured act/event each month, the coffeehouse begins with an open mic (song, poetry, drama, etc. welcomed!). Held on select Saturdays, you are invited to participate as an artist, to socialize, and/or to simply drink-in the creative atmosphere!

Radical Readers

This is a reading/discussion group that meets once each month at the Gryphon Café (across the street from the church). Each month we read a book (usually shorter) that in some way shaped or is shaping the world. We always have a mixture of church and community people, and the discussion is lively and stimulating.

Radical Riders

Once each month (except for the coldest months) we gather for a bike ride somewhere in the area. We usually ride on Saturday mornings. There is always a group for serious riders who ride a 10-12 mile route, and a group for relaxed riders. Then we gather for a picnic lunch after the ride.

Small Groups

Small groups are a cluster of persons who meet together on a regular basis for friendship/support and/or focus/study on a particular topic. Some of our groups have been in existence for many years and some of these groups meet for only a limited time. New groups can be formed at any time. If you are interested in joining a group or starting a new one, let us know!

Betweeners (Middle Aged Adults)

Find yourself in that wide range somewhere in between young adulthood and retirement? That’s who the Betweeners are! A group of individuals and families crossing the spectrum of diversity, its activities include the likes of annual camping trips, bowling, swim parties, museums and baseball games! There’s always something planned and always room for you!

Senior Support Corps

SSC is a lively group of CBC seniors (retired and 55+) who meet on the third Thursday of each month to share with one another, engage in discussion about a featured program item, plan service projects, and then they share a meal together. Started as a mission group, our seniors possess a wealth of wisdom and experience and are sometimes known as the most radical group in all of CBC!
